Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc: Tickets, Safari Bus and Honest Tips
Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is one of the main attractions in northern Phu Quoc, close to VinWonders and Grand World. It is not a quick one-hour stop between the beach and a cafe. This is a large wildlife park where you should plan at least several hours, especially if you want to try the Safari Bus, walk through Open Zoo, feed giraffes and make the visit part of a northern Phu Quoc day.
The main reason to visit is the safari format. Instead of only walking past animal enclosures, you sit inside a bus while animals are outside in large open areas. That makes the experience feel more dynamic: you move through the safari zone and see giraffes, zebras, rhinos, lions, tigers and other animals from a closer perspective.
I would consider Vinpearl Safari a strong option if you are planning northern Phu Quoc, traveling with children, visiting VinWonders or Grand World, or simply want a different kind of day away from beaches and hotel pools.
Quick answer: Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is worth visiting if you like animals, safari-style bus rides, giraffe feeding and large outdoor parks. It works best as a half-day plan or as part of a full northern Phu Quoc itinerary with VinWonders and Grand World.

What is Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc?
Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is a large wildlife park in northern Phu Quoc. It is often described as Vietnam’s largest semi-wildlife conservation park.
The park covers about 380 hectares and is home to around 200 species and more than 4,000 animals. The space is divided into different experiences: walking areas, a safari bus route, feeding points, restaurants, animal shows and optional interactive programs.
The most important difference from a traditional zoo is the Safari Park area. In this part, visitors do not walk between cages. Instead, they ride in a closed bus through zones where animals live in larger open spaces. This makes Vinpearl Safari feel more like a modern wildlife park than a classic zoo.
Where is Vinpearl Safari located?
Vinpearl Safari is located in northern Phu Quoc, near VinWonders Phu Quoc, Grand World Phu Quoc and the Vinpearl resort area.
This matters for planning. If you stay in Duong Dong, Long Beach or southern Phu Quoc, the journey will take time, so it is better to treat this as a proper northern Phu Quoc plan rather than a quick stop.
A simple route could be:
- Vinpearl Safari in the morning
- VinWonders in the afternoon, if you choose a combo ticket
- Grand World in the evening
- The Quintessence of Vietnam show or a canal walk after dinner
If you stay in the north or near Ganh Dau, the logistics are much easier.
How to plan your visit
If you visit only Vinpearl Safari, plan 3 to 4 hours. If you want to combine Safari and VinWonders, it becomes almost a full-day plan. If you also want to visit Grand World in the evening, it is better to start your northern Phu Quoc day early.
I would avoid packing Vinpearl Safari, VinWonders and an evening show into one day without breaks, especially if you travel with children. It is possible, but the day can become tiring.
A more comfortable plan is: Safari first, then either VinWonders or a rest, and Grand World in the evening if you still have energy.
How is Vinpearl Safari different from a normal zoo?
In a normal zoo, you usually walk along paths and look at animals in separate enclosures. Vinpearl Safari has walking areas too, but the key experience is the Safari Park.
In the safari zone, the logic is reversed: animals are outside, and visitors are inside the bus. The bus passes through different sections of the park, and you watch animals through large windows.
This makes the visit feel more alive, especially when zebras, rhinos or large cats appear near the route. Of course, this is not wild nature in the pure sense. It is a tourist safari park. But for a Phu Quoc itinerary, the format is clear, visual and memorable.
Safari Bus: the main experience
The Safari Bus is the main reason many travelers visit Vinpearl Safari.
You board a special bus and drive through the safari zones. This is the part that feels most different from a regular zoo: you are not walking past the animals; you are moving through their area.
In the safari zone, you may see:
- giraffes
- zebras
- rhinos
- antelopes
- ostriches
- lions
- tigers
- bears
- other large animals
The route usually takes around 30 minutes, but the actual timing can depend on crowds, boarding and operations on the day.
I would not leave the Safari Bus until the end of your visit. It is the key part of Vinpearl Safari, and it is better to do it before you are tired from walking, heat or waiting.

Open Zoo: the walking area
Vinpearl Safari also has Open Zoo, the walking part of the park.
This area feels closer to a traditional wildlife park: paths, enclosures, birds, reptiles, primates, smaller animals and decorative areas.
In Open Zoo, you may see:
- flamingos
- peacocks
- lemurs
- meerkats
- turtles
- crocodiles
- snakes
- monitor lizards
- monkeys
- birds
- other animals
This part is good for a slower walk, photos and short stops. Just remember that the territory is large, and the heat can feel stronger than expected.
Giraffe Restaurant and giraffe feeding
One of the most memorable parts of Vinpearl Safari is the area near Giraffe Restaurant. After the Safari Bus, you arrive in this section of the park. On one side, there are restaurant tables. On the other side, there is the giraffe feeding area.
This is one of the real wow moments of the park, not only for children but also for adults. The giraffe comes very close, gently takes food from your hand, and suddenly the safari feels much more personal than just walking through a park.
When I visited, a portion of giraffe food cost 40,000 VND. It is a small extra payment, but the moment is worth it: the contact is close, photos and videos feel alive, and the experience is more memorable than many regular animal viewing areas.
Feeding and interactive experiences
Vinpearl Safari is not only about looking at animals from a distance. There are also feeding moments, closer encounters, children’s activities and shows.
Popular options may include:
- giraffe feeding
- elephant feeding
- feeding selected friendly animals
- watching animals during activity times
- photo spots and closer viewing areas
- children’s programs such as Junior Zoo Keeper
Not every interactive activity is included in the regular ticket. Animal food, photos or special programs may cost extra. Check the price and conditions on-site before joining.

Shows and programs inside the park
Vinpearl Safari may have animal shows, bird performances, educational programs and cultural performances.
I would not make these shows the only reason to visit, but they can make the day more varied. After the Safari Bus and walking areas, a short program can be a good break, especially if you are visiting with children.
Check the schedule at the entrance or online. Showtimes can change, and if you want to catch a specific program, it is better to know the timing before you walk through half the park.
Night Safari
Night Safari is a separate evening format, not the same as the regular daytime ticket.
The idea is that after sunset, the safari feels different: lighting changes, the atmosphere is less like a daytime family walk, and some animals may be more active.
I would not treat Night Safari as a replacement for a first daytime visit. If your time is limited, start with the regular Safari experience because it gives you the main parts of the park: Safari Bus, Open Zoo and daytime activities. Night Safari makes more sense as an additional experience if you are especially interested in animals and evening routes.
Before booking, check what is included, the start time, transport and cancellation conditions.
Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc tickets and prices
Ticket prices can change by date, platform and promotion, so check your booking page before paying.
At the time of writing, the standard Vinpearl Safari pricing used in many booking listings is:
- adults and visitors from 140 cm: 850,000 VND
- children from 100 to 140 cm: 650,000 VND
- senior visitors from 60 years old: 650,000 VND
- children under 100 cm: free
For the VinWonders + Vinpearl Safari combo, the official VinWonders price page lists:
- visitors from 140 cm: 1,500,000 VND
- children from 100 to under 140 cm and senior visitors: 1,100,000 VND
Night Safari is a separate product with its own ticket conditions.
Before buying, check the date, ticket type, cancellation policy and what is included. Some platforms may offer promotions, VinWonders combos, meal options, transfer options or other packages.

What is included in the ticket?
A regular Vinpearl Safari ticket gives access to the daytime park visit, including the main walking areas, Safari Bus, Open Zoo and scheduled shows.
Extra services may cost separately, such as:
- animal food
- special interactive programs
- Junior Zoo Keeper
- VIP Tour
- stroller or trolley rental
- food and drinks
- paid electric carts or shuttles inside the park
- Night Safari, unless selected as a separate ticket
Before booking, check whether you are buying a regular entrance ticket, a VinWonders combo, Night Safari or a larger package.
Can you bring food and drinks?
According to VinWonders park rules, visitors are not allowed to bring food and drinks into the park, except food for children or people on a special diet.
In practice, do not plan a full picnic inside Vinpearl Safari. If you spend several hours there, rely on the restaurants, cafes and drink points inside the park.
For water, check the current rules at the entrance on the day of your visit.
How much time do you need?
The minimum time for Vinpearl Safari is 3 to 4 hours.
In that time, you can:
- walk through part of Open Zoo
- take the Safari Bus
- visit Giraffe Restaurant
- see a feeding moment or short show
- take photos without rushing too much
If you want giraffe feeding, lunch, programs and a slower pace, plan half a day.
If you combine Safari + VinWonders, this becomes almost a full-day plan in northern Phu Quoc. In that case, arrive early and decide what matters most: animals, rides, water park areas, shows or Grand World in the evening.
Getting around the park
Vinpearl Safari is large, and not everyone wants to walk the whole route. Inside the park, there are paid electric carts or shuttle-style vehicles that can help you move between zones faster.
When I visited, this transport was paid separately. If you plan to use it, treat it as an extra cost, not something automatically included in the entrance ticket.
This can be useful if you travel with children, feel tired from the heat or want to save energy after the Safari Bus and Open Zoo.
Best time to visit Vinpearl Safari
The best time to visit is in the morning. It is usually less hot, easier to start with the Safari Bus, and animals may be more active than in the middle of the day.
If you arrive closer to lunch, it can be hotter, there may be more visitors, and the large walking areas can feel more tiring.
A practical order could be:
- arrive at opening or in the first part of the day
- do the Safari Bus first
- continue with Open Zoo and feeding areas
- have lunch or stop at Giraffe Restaurant
- then decide whether to stay longer or continue to VinWonders / Grand World
Who will enjoy Vinpearl Safari?
Vinpearl Safari is a good choice if you:
- visit Phu Quoc for the first time
- travel with children
- like animals
- want something different from beaches
- plan northern Phu Quoc
- already plan VinWonders or Grand World
- want to see giraffes, zebras, rhinos, lions and tigers
- want a clear half-day route
The park works especially well for families, but not only for families. Adults can enjoy it too, especially if they like animals, photography, giraffes, big cats, rhinos and the idea of a day that is not centered around the beach.
Who may want to skip it?
You may want to skip Vinpearl Safari if you are not interested in zoos, safari parks, feeding activities or organized tourist attractions.
If you are looking only for quiet beaches, small cafes, local Phu Quoc and places without crowds, the park may feel too structured and tourist-oriented.
It is also worth thinking carefully if you do not handle heat well. The territory is large, there are many open areas, and a midday visit can be tiring.
What to combine with Vinpearl Safari
Vinpearl Safari fits best into a northern Phu Quoc itinerary.
You can combine it with:
- VinWonders Phu Quoc – good if you buy a combo ticket and want a full day
- Grand World Phu Quoc – canals, cafes and evening atmosphere
- The Quintessence of Vietnam – cultural evening show in Grand World
- Teddy Bear Museum – a museum stop inside Grand World
- Ganh Dau – northern Phu Quoc area
- Bai Dai Beach – beach area in the north
A good plan is: Vinpearl Safari in the morning, then VinWonders or rest, and Grand World in the evening. If you do not like packed days, do not force Safari, VinWonders and an evening show into one day without breaks.

Is Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc worth it?
Yes, if you are interested in animals, the Safari Bus, giraffe feeding and the idea of a large outdoor park in northern Phu Quoc.
Vinpearl Safari shows a different side of the island. It is not beaches, cafes or hotel pools, but a green area with Open Zoo, Safari Bus, Giraffe Restaurant and animals you will not see during a normal walk around Phu Quoc.
It is still a tourist safari park, not wild nature in the pure sense. But its strengths are clear: animals close enough to feel exciting, a bus route through the safari zone, giraffe feeding, a large territory and an easy connection with VinWonders or Grand World.
If you stay in central or southern Phu Quoc, that is not a reason to skip it. Just plan Vinpearl Safari as part of a proper northern route: Safari in the morning, VinWonders or rest later, and Grand World in the evening.
