Vinpearl Safari Phu Quoc is one of the most interesting ways to spend a morning in northern Phu Quoc. The experience that makes it different is simple: you sit inside the Safari Bus while lions, rhinos, zebras and other animals move through spacious outdoor habitats. Then there is the walking zoo, where you can slow down for the birds, primates and the giraffe-feeding area.
I visited Vinpearl Safari while exploring northern Phu Quoc. The part I remember most vividly is feeding giraffes. They come remarkably close, and it feels quite different from looking at animals through the windows of a vehicle. It was an extra-cost activity, but one of the moments I would make time for again.
Is Vinpearl Safari worth it? Yes, if you enjoy wildlife parks, want to ride the safari bus or are visiting Phu Quoc with children. Plan three to five hours, preferably in the morning. If you also want VinWonders, compare the one-day and two-day tickets before buying: the cheaper combination is not automatically the better day.

Safari Bus: the part worth planning around
The bus journey is the defining experience. Instead of walking between animal enclosures, you stay in a closed bus as it travels through the safari area. It is a very different perspective from the walking zoo, especially when larger animals come into view near the route.
I would do the bus ride early. Later in the day, you may be hot, tired or trying to reach another attraction. Remember that the Safari Bus and a paid internal electric zoo shuttle are not the same thing: the second helps cover the walking-zone distances and is not necessarily included in a regular ticket.
Open Zoo: where you can take your time
The Open Zoo is the walking portion of the park. You will encounter different animal areas, including birds, primates, reptiles and smaller species. Some paths are exposed to the sun, so the experience can be more tiring than the name suggests, especially with young children.
Do not try to see every enclosure simply because it is on the map. Pick a few areas you genuinely want to visit, allow time for drinks or lunch, and use an internal electric shuttle if the walking becomes too much.
Giraffe feeding: my favourite close-up moment
The giraffe area near Giraffe Restaurant is one of the details that makes the park memorable. When I went, a portion of food for feeding the giraffes cost 40,000 VND. That is what I paid on my visit, not a confirmed 2026 price; the park may charge differently now.
The proximity makes it tempting to spend time filming and photographing, but follow the staff’s instructions for safe feeding and do not bring your own food for the animals. The restaurant is also a natural place to stop if you are spending half a day in the park.
Animal shows and activities: what to fit into your visit
Vinpearl Safari runs animal demonstrations, feeding sessions and other programmes. The official 2026 programme lists an animal show at 10:00–10:30 a.m. and a 2:00–2:30 p.m. session that is generally unavailable on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Zulu Dance is listed at 9:20 a.m., 11:20 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Times can change, so check the park schedule on the day.
Feeding and interactive programmes are not all part of the normal ticket. Newer paid experiences include Safari Adventure, which combines multiple animal-interaction stations, and special priority-access experiences. These can be enjoyable extras for a family that wants more than the standard bus ride, but check the fine print: the official Safari Adventure offer explicitly excludes park admission.
Night Safari: a different visit, not an upgrade to assume
Night Safari is an evening experience sold separately from the standard daytime ticket. The current English park page lists it on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 7:40–9:30 p.m., although other language versions display different information. Always confirm the date, departure point, included activities and return transport directly with the operator before building your evening around it.
If you have only one chance to see Vinpearl Safari, I would choose the daytime experience first. It gives you the signature Safari Bus, Open Zoo and the flexibility to visit feeding areas at your own pace.
One day or two: should you combine Safari with VinWonders?
It is easy to underestimate the size of the northern attractions. Safari is a half-day visit if you do not want to rush, while VinWonders has rides, an aquarium, a water park and evening entertainment. A one-day combination can offer a lower ticket price, but it does not give you more hours or energy.
One-day plan: Start at Safari in the morning, choose the walking areas most important to you, then continue to a few VinWonders highlights. This works best if you accept that you will not see everything.
Two-day plan: Give Safari its own morning or day, then enjoy VinWonders on another day. If you are staying in the north, this can feel substantially more relaxed. Confirm that your selected pass allows the visits to be split over two dates.

Getting there without a scooter
Vinpearl Safari is in the north of the island. From Duong Dong, Long Beach or Sunset Town, consider the travel time before booking an afternoon activity elsewhere. Your practical choices are a taxi or Grab, a booked driver or the VinBus network, depending on your location and ticket conditions.
Official VinWonders booking information describes complimentary transfers within the resort network and specific VinBus benefits, but that does not mean every island-wide route is free for every passenger. Check the current route, stop, fare rules and ticket eligibility. Keep the return journey in mind, especially if combining Safari with a late Grand World show.
What to bring and what not to budget for twice
Bring light clothing, comfortable shoes, sun protection, drinking-water money and a charged phone or camera. Verify the current rules on bringing outside food or drinks, particularly if you have small children or dietary needs.
Your main ticket generally covers the Safari Bus and park access. Budget separately for things such as giraffe food, special interactive programmes, electric buggies, meals or Night Safari unless they are explicitly named in the ticket you purchase.
Is Vinpearl Safari worth it for you?
I would recommend Safari if you like wildlife parks, have children who will enjoy the bus and feeding areas, or are already planning a day in northern Phu Quoc. I would skip it if you dislike captive-animal attractions or want a trip centred entirely on quiet beaches and local villages. It is a managed conservation and visitor park, not a wild safari in an open national park.
For me, the combination of the Safari Bus and giraffe feeding made the visit worthwhile. I would not plan it as a one-hour stop, and I would be particularly cautious about squeezing an entire VinWonders visit into the same afternoon.
