Nara Travel Notes is a personal travel site built around practical guides, honest routes and useful places from destinations I have visited, lived in or explored slowly.

I started this site to collect travel notes that are actually useful before a trip: where to stay, what area to choose, what to combine in one route, which places are worth the time, and what I would do differently next time.

Here you’ll find guides from Vietnam, Thailand, Turkey, Cambodia, Malaysia and other places I know from real travel experience. Some guides are based on short trips, others come from living in a place for weeks, months or even years.

I write for travelers who want more than generic “top things to do” lists. My goal is to help you make better travel decisions: save places, plan routes, avoid wasting time, and understand how a destination actually works on the ground.

This site may include affiliate links. That means I may earn a small commission if you book or buy through some links, at no extra cost to you. I only add links where they fit the guide and can be useful for planning a trip.
