6 Ho Chi Minh City Hotels with Rooftop Pools, Compared
A rooftop pool changes a city break when you actually leave time to use it. Walk around Saigon in the morning, come back for a swim and watch the buildings rise around the water before heading out for dinner. The wrong choice is paying for that photograph, then discovering the pool is a jacuzzi, closes before you return or cannot accommodate the children travelling with you.
These six Ho Chi Minh City hotels with rooftop pools make the shortlist for different reasons. Start with La Vela Saigon when the rooftop is the main attraction, Hôtel des Arts for an elevated luxury setting with a pool reserved for staying guests, or The Myst Dong Khoi when a published 24-metre pool length matters. The other three combine rooftop time with a distinct city location or boutique atmosphere.
The order reflects how strongly the pool shapes the hotel choice, not a ranking of room prices or star ratings. Facilities were checked against hotel information on 18 October 2026. This is a researched shortlist, not a claim that I have stayed at every property.
Ho Chi Minh City hotels with rooftop pools: compare the six
| Priority | Hotel | Distinction that changes the choice |
|---|---|---|
| Make the rooftop the reason for the booking | La Vela Saigon | Infinity pool above the city; District 3 base |
| A luxury skyline stay | Hôtel des Arts Saigon – MGallery | 24th-floor infinity pool reserved for in-house guests |
| Pool length plus a hotel with character | The Myst Dong Khoi | Published 24-metre rooftop pool; central riverside area |
| Boutique atmosphere and an adult pool | Silverland May | 150 m² rooftop pool beside Maya Bar; adult-only pool policy |
| River views from the water | Liberty Central Saigon Riverside | 25th-floor pool beside Vertical Sky Bar |
| Ben Thanh on your doorstep | Silverland Ben Thanh | 12th-floor pool and a market-centred location |

When the rooftop is the main reason to book
1. La Vela Saigon: start here for a pool-led stay

La Vela belongs at the top of a pool-first shortlist because the rooftop infinity pool is a central part of its proposition. This is the hotel to investigate when the pool session itself is one of the activities you are planning in Ho Chi Minh City.
Its location at 280 Nam Ky Khoi Nghia, in the area commonly called District 3, also makes the trade-off clear. Compare the address with your sightseeing route rather than treating every central hotel as interchangeable with a Dong Khoi or Ben Thanh base.
The hotel publishes pool hours of 6am–8pm. That leaves an early-swim opportunity and an afternoon session, but not a post-dinner swim late at night. Book with enough free time to enjoy the roof; a packed itinerary would undermine the reason for choosing it.
The decision: put La Vela first when the pool is part of the holiday, then compare the room and location with the alternatives. A high-floor room is a separate room-category choice; the rooftop photograph does not describe the view from every bedroom.

2. Hotel des Arts Saigon: a luxury skyline setting with a guest-only pool

Hôtel des Arts Saigon – MGallery combines its 24th-floor infinity pool with the Social Club rooftop-bar setting. It is the shortlist entry for a short luxury stay in which the roof matters as much as the room: a swim, time looking out over the city and an evening drink without arranging a separate rooftop outing.
The consequential detail is access. The hotel states that the pool is reserved exclusively for in-house guests. Visiting a rooftop bar and having permission to swim are different things; a bar reservation should not be treated as pool access.
Published swimming hours are 6am–8pm. Plan the water part of the evening before dinner. The hotel’s address is 76–78 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, on the District 3 side of the central area.
Choose it for the combination of an elevated infinity pool and a luxury hotel stay. The neighbouring bar means this is a social rooftop setting; guest-only pool access is not a promise of silence or an empty deck.

3. The Myst Dong Khoi: a 24-metre pool near the river

The Myst gives swimmers a useful piece of information that many hotel descriptions omit: its rooftop infinity pool is 24 metres long. That is a clearer starting point for someone hoping to swim lengths than the word “infinity” on its own. It does not establish that lanes are reserved or that other guests will stay out of your way.
The hotel sits at 6–8 Ho Huan Nghiep, near the Dong Khoi and riverside part of central Saigon. The pool overlooks the city and river, with ROOTY Bar on the rooftop. It suits a stay in which pool time fits between walking around the centre and going out to eat.
Its pool information lists 7am–7pm, so this is a stronger match for a morning or pre-dinner swim than a late-night one. The hotel also advertises day-pass access for non-residents: staying here does not make the pool exclusive to overnight guests.
For a broader comparison of hotel experiences, the Vietnam luxury-hotel shortlist offers another way to decide where to spend more.

4. Silverland May: boutique design with an adult-only rooftop pool

Silverland May, officially styled Silverland Mây, combines a 150 m² swimming pool with Maya Rooftop Pool Bar on the 14th floor. The address is 28–30 Thi Sach, in central Saigon. Its terracotta and rattan poolside details give the roof a different character from a high-rise infinity-edge photograph.
The current main hotel page states that the pool is for adults only. That is a pool restriction, not an adults-only hotel policy. Families should not book a family room assuming their children can use this facility.
The room choice needs attention too. The Narra category is explicitly sold without a window, while other categories offer different layouts and outlooks. Rooftop access does not turn a windowless bedroom into a city-view room.
Choose May for an adult city stay with a distinct pool-and-bar setting. Outside visitors can also use the pool by advance arrangement, so it should not be described as resident-only. Confirm swimming hours for your stay; some of the hotel’s published pages give different schedules.

5. Liberty Central Saigon Riverside: choose the river-facing rooftop

Liberty Central Saigon Riverside makes the clearest case here for choosing the river view from the pool. Its outdoor rooftop pool is on the 25th floor, next to Vertical Sky Bar, at 17 Ton Duc Thang. That distinguishes it from a pool whose main outlook is the surrounding street grid.
The practical attraction is a riverfront hotel base with a pool upstairs, rather than travelling elsewhere for your afternoon break. Published swimming hours are 6:30am–9:30pm, giving it a later stated closing time than La Vela, Hôtel des Arts or The Myst.
Be precise about the property name: Riverside, Citypoint and Centre are different Liberty Central hotels. Their photographs and facilities should not be mixed up. A river-facing rooftop also does not mean every room faces the water; choose a room category that explicitly lists the view you want.
This is the location-led choice when seeing the river from the water is the memorable part of the pool experience. Compare the actual room rate with your dates before assigning it a budget category.

6. Silverland Ben Thanh: a pool above a market-centred city stay

Silverland Ben Thanh puts a 12th-floor rooftop pool above a boutique hotel at 14–16 Le Lai, beside the Ben Thanh Market area. It is the shortlist entry for someone who wants to go out into the centre, return for a dip and then head downstairs again for the next meal.
The hotel lists pool hours of 6am–8pm, city views and a sunbathing area. Smith’s Kitchen & Bar is also on the 12th floor. The reason to choose it is the combination of that rooftop and its market-side location, not a claim that it has the biggest or highest pool.
Compare the room categories carefully: Spring Field is sold without a window. Sunshine Garden has large windows, while Signature Ben Thanh advertises market views. Those distinctions may matter more to your stay than a small difference in the headline rate.
Choose it for a central food-and-sightseeing trip with pool time between outings. Choose a different shortlist entry when a published swimming length or a higher rooftop is your main requirement.

Avoid paying for the wrong kind of rooftop
For this shortlist, a rooftop bar, a jacuzzi and a pool on an intermediate terrace do not qualify as the same product. Silverland Yen describes its facility as a rooftop outdoor jacuzzi, so it is not included as a swimming-pool alternative. Fusion Original Saigon Centre has a pool on a sixth-floor terrace, which puts it outside this specific rooftop shortlist.
Photographs can blur another distinction: a shared hotel pool is not a private pool attached to your room. Check the room description separately from the facilities gallery. Pool photographs also say little about deck crowding, shade at your preferred time or temporary closures.
Before paying a non-refundable rate, confirm that the pool will operate during your dates and that its access rules suit everyone in your party. Compare the total room price with taxes, breakfast and cancellation terms included. Without common dates and matching room conditions, a cheapest-to-most-expensive ranking would be misleading.
Give the pool a place in your Saigon itinerary
Use the hours to shape the day. A pool that closes early works with a morning swim or a return before dinner. A rooftop bar may remain open after swimming ends, so check the pool’s timetable rather than assuming the two share a closing time.
Plan your meals around that break. My Pho Viet Nam review covers a central restaurant stop, while the Vietnamese coffee guide helps choose what to order on a slower afternoon. These are separate outings, not facilities promised by any hotel above.
Flights for a rooftop-pool city break
An afternoon arrival and an early departure may leave little time to enjoy the roof. Compare flight times as well as the room rate before paying extra for a pool-focused stay.
When comparing Ho Chi Minh City hotels with rooftop pools, start with the hours you will actually spend on the roof. Start with your pool priority in the table, narrow the choice to two properties and compare their actual room offers for the same dates.
