10 Luxury Hotels in Vietnam Worth Planning a Trip Around
Picture the part of the holiday you keep coming back to: a swim before breakfast, an afternoon beside the sea, or a long massage with nowhere to rush afterwards. The hotel should make room for that part of the trip.
These luxury hotels in Vietnam create quite different holidays. TIA builds daily treatments into the stay. Six Senses Ninh Van Bay puts a boat ride between you and the mainland. The Nam Hai leaves room for beach days and evenings in Hoi An, while Capella brings the occasion into a city break in Hanoi.
The important choice is what you would actually enjoy doing there. Below, the room categories, arrival arrangements and meaningful differences help narrow ten tempting hotels to a stay you can picture yourself booking.

1. Amanoi: space to slow down above Vinh Hy Bay

At Amanoi, the coast is part of the reason to stay. The resort overlooks Vinh Hy Bay beside Nui Chua National Park, with accommodation looking towards the sea or surrounding hills. A Beach Club sits by the sand; the spa is beside a lake. You can give different parts of the day different settings without filling the holiday with excursions.
A morning at the beach followed by an afternoon around the cliffside pool is a more useful picture of this stay than a long list of luxury amenities. The attraction is having time to enjoy the place you have travelled to.
Accommodation needs a closer look. An Ocean Pavilion has a timber deck and sea views, while a villa with a private pool changes how much of the day you may spend in your own space. Decide which version you are imagining before comparing rates.
Cam Ranh Airport is approximately 75 minutes away by road. Aman lists breakfast, afternoon tea and selected activities among its Ocean Pavilion inclusions, with return airport transfers for stays of at least three nights. Check the conditions attached to your actual booking, particularly when comparing a package with a room sold through another platform.
2. Six Senses Con Dao: an island holiday with your own pool

There is less room-category guesswork around pools here: all 50 villas at Six Senses Con Dao have a private infinity pool. The more consequential choice is how close you want to be to the shoreline. Ocean Front accommodation brings the beach into the foreground; Ocean View categories offer a different position.
The resort fronts Dat Doc Beach on Con Son, the main island of the Con Dao archipelago. Villas range from one to four bedrooms, so the idea can stretch beyond a couple’s escape to a shared family holiday with separate sleeping space.
Con Dao also gives the stay a reason to extend beyond the villa. The resort works with the national park on turtle conservation, including supervised hatchling releases. Its published programme lists releases between May and December, subject to the animals and conservation activity. Plan around a possibility, rather than promising children a sighting on a particular morning.
First, make the island journey work. The resort describes the flight from Ho Chi Minh City as roughly 45 minutes, followed by about ten minutes on the road. Shared airport transfers can be arranged in advance; private transfers cost extra. Check flights before committing to accommodation, especially when fitting Con Dao between other stops.
3. InterContinental Danang: a hillside retreat above a private bay

The descent towards the beach is part of this resort’s character. InterContinental Danang spreads over four levels on the Son Tra Peninsula, connected by the Nam Tram funicular. Forest, buildings and sea appear from different heights as you move around the property.
That setting gives the hotel its appeal and makes the position of your accommodation worth understanding. A room high on the hillside creates a different daily routine from a villa beside the beach. Ask where the category sits when easy access to the sand matters more than a sweeping view.
You can begin with a substantial room: the Resort Classic Room Oceanview is 70 square metres. Pool villas and penthouses add another level of private outdoor space. The One-Bedroom Seaside Villa by the Beach has its own infinity pool and a private staircase towards the beach.
The 700-metre beach, Mi Sol Spa and restaurants such as Citron and La Maison 1888 give you reasons to stay on the peninsula. Da Nang Airport is around 30 minutes away according to the resort’s FAQ, but this is a separate coastal setting from the city’s beachfront hotel strip. For an evening away from the resort, our Han River cruise in Da Nang guide covers what to expect before booking.
For limited mobility, discuss the exact room location and internal transport before reserving. A funicular does not answer every question about the route to your room.
4. Capella Hanoi: make the city stop feel like an occasion

A Hanoi hotel can be somewhere to sleep between outings. Capella gives you a reason to leave part of the evening unplanned and return early.
Its 47 rooms and suites take their cues from opera, with individually styled interiors and memorabilia. The hotel is on Le Phung Hieu in the Hoan Kiem district, close to the Opera House and Hoan Kiem Lake. That puts the stay around city walks, restaurants and time indoors between outings.
Backstage serves a contemporary interpretation of northern Vietnamese cooking. There is also Auriga Spa and La Grotta, an indoor pool whose theatrical setting continues the hotel’s design. The Living Room and cultural programmes add ways to spend time at the hotel without retreating straight to your bedroom.
Room scale is an important distinction. A Premier Room is around 35 square metres with a French balcony; suites provide more space, with separate living areas in selected categories. Book against the room description you will receive, especially when a gallery has caught your attention with a much larger suite.
Capella earns its place here as a city experience. Give it nights when you intend to enjoy Hanoi, then choose a separate coastal stay for the beach portion of the trip.
5. Four Seasons The Nam Hai: beach days with Hoi An within reach

The Nam Hai solves a familiar holiday dilemma: wanting the beach during the day and somewhere interesting to go in the evening. It stands on Ha My Beach near Hoi An, with a complimentary shuttle into town three times a day. Check the current departure and return times before planning dinner around it.
You can spend a morning by the sea, leave an afternoon for the Heart of the Earth Spa, and still make space for Hoi An during the stay. Our Hoi An day trip guide helps you choose the Old Town stops and leave time for the evening lights.
The accommodation choice deserves some of the attention usually given to photographs. The refurbished Garden-View One-Bedroom Villa is 87 square metres. Pool Villas are a separate category: the Garden-View One-Bedroom Pool Villa includes a private pool and a separate living and dining pavilion.
Four Seasons publishes additional Pool Villa benefits, including return Da Nang Airport transfers, personal attendant service, breakfast for two guests per bedroom and a limited daily laundry allowance. Those inclusions can affect the value of an upgrade, particularly on a longer stay or a trip with several bedrooms.
An upgrade can therefore change both the space you have and the services you pay for separately. Compare those benefits alongside the nightly rate.
6. Six Senses Ninh Van Bay: let the boat ride mark the start of the break

Arrival changes the mood here. After reaching the resort’s mainland lounge, you cross the bay by boat. The setting feels island-like, although the resort is on a peninsula near Nha Trang.
The published journey from Cam Ranh Airport involves roughly an hour by road and twenty minutes on the water. Build that into arrival day so the crossing can feel like the beginning of the holiday, with no ambitious sightseeing plan waiting afterwards.
Accommodation is spread among beach, hillside, rock and waterside settings. The Hill Top Pool Villas have private pools and elevated views, reached by paths and stairs. Beachfront categories keep the sand more central to the stay. The view you admire in a photograph also tells you something about how you will move around each day.
For a few days of staying within the bay, there is a beach, spa and dining, including the Farmhouse’s plant-based experience. Trips to the mainland require boat arrangements, so consider how often you really intend to leave.
Discuss access before booking a hillside villa with anyone who finds steps difficult. Confirm the transfer price and arrangements too: the journey is essential to this stay, and belongs in the total cost.
7. Regent Phu Quoc: choose between a sea-view suite and your own pool

At Regent, two appealing versions of the same holiday sit side by side. You can have a spacious suite looking out towards the sea, or pay for a category that brings swimming into your own private space.
The Ocean View Suite is 78 square metres, with a furnished terrace or balcony, a walk-in wardrobe and a bathroom with a soaking tub. Pool accommodation is separately named, including Garden Pool Suites and pool villas. Keep those categories distinct when comparing the photographs and rates.
The resort is on Long Beach, also known as Bai Truong, around fifteen minutes from Phu Quoc Airport according to IHG. That short arrival journey leaves more of a brief island break available for the hotel itself. Our Phu Quoc airport-to-hotel guide compares the arrival options.
Dining gives you several directions: Vietnamese cooking at Rice Market, French-Japanese dining at Oku and Mediterranean food at the beachfront Ocean Club. Staying for dinner can be part of the pleasure of the hotel, with the meal plan checked before you budget for it.
Look closely at Club access as well. IHG lists Regent Club privileges as an additional charge for the Ocean View Suite. Compare accommodation, meals and lounge access together so an attractive starting rate does not create the wrong expectation of what is included.
8. TIA Wellness Resort: give relaxation a place in the day

It is easy to arrive at a hotel with a spa and never quite make the appointment. TIA makes treatments a central part of the booking.
Its Wellness Inclusive stay combines a private-pool villa with two treatments per person for each night booked, totalling 80 minutes. All-day breakfast, a wellness minibar and scheduled activities such as yoga, breathwork and creative workshops are also included. You can leave time for the pool without treating every hour of rest as an extra purchase.
The difference becomes clearer when choosing a programme. Retreat Inclusive adds a separate 60-minute retreat therapy, a personal wellness guide and plant-based full-board meals. The standard Wellness Inclusive package should not be read as covering all meals or every treatment on the menu.
TIA is a beachfront resort in Da Nang, so the stay can include time outside the property. Leave room for the programme you are paying for, though. A trip filled with full-day excursions gives you fewer opportunities to enjoy those treatments and classes.
The reason to choose TIA is the structure it gives a restful holiday. Review the programme and reserve treatment times in advance; the meaningful question is whether you will enjoy using what is included.
9. Anantara Quy Nhon Villas: keep the holiday on a smaller scale

With 25 villas, Anantara Quy Nhon has a different scale from the larger resorts in this selection. It sits on a coastal cove about twelve kilometres outside Quy Nhon, with private pools and villa-host service.
The choice between Ocean View and Beachfront deserves a deliberate decision. In an Ocean View Pool Villa, the pool projects out above the slope and the sea forms the backdrop. Beachfront accommodation changes your relationship with the sand. Start with the way you would spend the day, then choose the position that supports it.
Sea.Fire.Salt., private dining arrangements and a cliffside spa provide reasons to leave some days centred on the property. A villa host can help arrange the details; confirm the cost of private meals and experiences when planning the stay.
Phu Cat Airport is approximately 45 minutes away by road, with airport transfers available for a fee and by advance arrangement. Anantara also offers packages involving The Vietage rail journey, but transport included in a specific rail package should not be assumed for a separate villa booking.
This is a stay to consider when having your own villa matters more than being able to step outside into the city every evening.
10. Zannier Bai San Ho: choose your own corner of the coast

Rice fields, hills and beach create several versions of a holiday at Bai San Ho. The setting you choose will shape what you see when you open the doors each morning.
A Greenfield Terrace Villa looks towards rice paddies. Hill Pool Villas put the view and a private plunge pool above the bay; Beach Pool Villas bring the shoreline closer. Beach View Terrace is another category again. Compare the exact name and facilities of the villa, particularly when a personal pool is part of the holiday you are imagining.
The resort is on the coast near Song Cau and Xuan Canh. Phu Cat and Tuy Hoa airports are both options, with the hotel estimating journeys of approximately one hour to one hour twenty minutes. Transfers are available at an additional charge.
On the property, Vietnamese cooking at Ba Hai, beach dining at Lang Chai and Hoa Sen Spa give the days more shape than simply moving between the villa and the sea.
The hotel identifies October to January as its rainy season. Keep that in mind when picturing long days on the beach: the same villa can support a different kind of holiday when more time is spent indoors or at the spa.
Pick the coast for your dates
One winter beach recommendation cannot cover all these locations. Central Vietnam and Phu Quoc have different seasonal patterns, and Hanoi adds another climate entirely.
For a December or January beach trip, Phu Quoc deserves an early place on the shortlist. Vietnam’s official tourism guidance identifies those months as an appealing time on the island. Hoi An’s rainier period extends approximately September to January, while the Nha Trang area is generally rainier between September and December. Our guide to where to stay in Phu Quoc compares the island’s areas before you settle on a resort.
Those are planning patterns, not a promise about a particular week. A resort with appealing dining and spa facilities may still suit a trip with mixed weather; a holiday built mainly around swimming needs more attention to local sea conditions. Check the conditions for the coast you will actually visit before paying for the view.
Compare the stay you will actually book
Once a hotel catches your attention, compare the same dates, number of guests and room category. A garden villa and a beachfront pool villa can create very different totals within the same resort.
Read the meal plan, transfer arrangements, taxes and cancellation conditions alongside the room price. Pay particular attention to benefits attached to a specific category or package. The booking that gives you the holiday you have imagined is the comparison that matters.
