Kiss of the Sea Phu Quoc: Is This Sunset Town Show Worth It?
Kiss of the Sea Phu Quoc is a large evening multimedia show in Sunset Town, in the south of the island. It combines water, fire, lasers, 3D projections, acrobats, music and a final fireworks display over the sea.
I went there without huge expectations, but it turned out to be one of the most spectacular evening experiences I had in Phu Quoc. It is not only a tourist show. It is a full visual performance that makes Sunset Town feel like a proper evening destination.
Quick answer: Kiss of the Sea is worth visiting if you want a bright, easy evening plan in southern Phu Quoc. The best way to experience it is to combine the show with Sunset Town, Kiss Bridge, the waterfront, Vui-Fest Bazaar and dinner nearby. Check the current schedule before you go and try not to arrive at the last minute.

What is Kiss of the Sea in Phu Quoc?
Kiss of the Sea is an evening show in Sunset Town, built around water, light, fire, music, acrobatics and fireworks. It takes place on a large open-air stage by the sea, close to Kiss Bridge.
The format is hard to describe as only a fountain show or a concert. It is a multimedia performance where a water screen, lasers, live performers, special effects and fireworks work together as one visual story.
For Sunset Town, the show is an important part of the whole area. The district already looks like a resort-style stage set with colorful buildings, squares, cafes, sea views and the famous Kiss Bridge. But in the evening, Kiss of the Sea gives the area a clear reason to stay longer.

If you come to the south of Phu Quoc only for photos at Kiss Bridge, I would suggest staying until evening. During the day, Sunset Town can feel beautiful but slightly artificial. At night, when the lights turn on, cafes open, Vui-Fest Bazaar gets busier and the show starts, the whole area feels much more alive.
Where does Kiss of the Sea take place?
Kiss of the Sea takes place in Sunset Town, in southern Phu Quoc. The show area is close to Kiss Bridge, the Hon Thom cable car station and Vui-Fest Bazaar.
This location is convenient because you can build a full evening around it:
- walk around Sunset Town before sunset
- take photos near Kiss Bridge
- watch the sea and evening lights
- have dinner or snacks at Vui-Fest Bazaar
- see Kiss of the Sea
- stay for the fireworks and walk along the waterfront after the show
If you stay in Sunset Town or near Khem Beach, the logistics are simple. If you come from Duong Dong, Ong Lang, Grand World or the northern part of Phu Quoc, plan your return in advance, especially in the evening.
A good evening plan for Sunset Town
The best way to visit Kiss of the Sea is not to treat it as a single isolated show. It works better as part of a full Sunset Town evening.
A simple route could look like this:
Late afternoon: arrive in Sunset Town before sunset.
Before dark: walk around the streets, sea viewpoints and Kiss Bridge area.
Dinner: eat at Vui-Fest Bazaar or one of the cafes nearby.
Evening: go to Kiss of the Sea.
After the show: stay for the fireworks and take a short walk along the waterfront.
This makes the evening feel much smoother. You are not rushing across the island only for one performance, and you get to see why Sunset Town is one of the main evening areas in Phu Quoc.

The story behind Kiss of the Sea
Kiss of the Sea did not appear completely from scratch. Before it, Sunset Town had a previous show concept called Kiss the Stars, which opened in soft-opening format in December 2022. Later, the project was updated with more performers, fireworks, new visual effects and was presented as Kiss of the Sea.
The show was created with the participation of Sun Group and the French company ECA2, known for large-scale water, light and multimedia shows. ECA2 has worked on major productions such as Wings of Time in Singapore and other large visual performances around the world.
That is why Kiss of the Sea does not feel like a small local attraction created only to fill one evening. It is a large tourism product designed to make Sunset Town one of the main night-time destinations in Phu Quoc.
Scale and special effects
The strongest impression from Kiss of the Sea is the scale. The stage is set by the sea, and the performance unfolds through water screens, fire, smoke, lasers, lighting effects, music and fireworks.
Promotional materials often highlight the scale of the production:
- the venue can host thousands of spectators
- the water screen is very large
- the show includes performers from different countries
- hundreds of devices are used for water, fire, light, smoke, lasers and pyrotechnics
- the finale includes fireworks over the sea
Even without remembering the exact numbers, you feel the scale when you are there. This is not a small fountain show in front of a hotel. It is a large outdoor performance where the main goal is to create a strong visual effect.
The story of Kiss of the Sea explained simply
The show is based on a love story between a boy from Earth and a girl from another galaxy. They meet through a black hole, face challenges and are connected through five elements: water, fire, metal, wood and earth.
You do not need to follow the plot too literally. The main point of Kiss of the Sea is the visual journey: music, light, movement, fire, water, silhouettes of performers and the final fireworks.
The story gives the show a structure, but the strongest part is the atmosphere. It feels more like a sequence of big visual moments than a performance where every detail of the plot matters.

Phu Quoc symbols in the show
One detail I liked is that Kiss of the Sea includes symbols connected to Phu Quoc itself. Two of them are the Phu Quoc ridgeback dog and the dugong.
The Phu Quoc ridgeback is a rare Vietnamese dog breed associated with the island. It is known for the ridge of hair along its back, growing in the opposite direction from the rest of the coat. In Vietnam, this dog is often connected with strength, loyalty and island identity.
The dugong, also known as a sea cow, is a rare marine mammal related to the manatee. Dugongs used to live in the waters around Phu Quoc and now symbolize the fragile marine ecosystem of the area.
For me, these details made the show more connected to the island. It is still a modern multimedia performance, but it is not only a generic mix of lights, fire and music. It also tries to include images that belong to Phu Quoc.
The final fireworks
The finale is one of the strongest parts of Kiss of the Sea. After the main performance, fireworks light up the sky above Sunset Town, with golden sparks, pyrotechnics near the water and bursts over the sea.
Music, light, water and fire come together in one final scene. This is the moment when you understand why many people come not only for the story, but also for the feeling of a big evening event.
When I visited, the fireworks started closer to 9:30 pm and lasted around five minutes. But the schedule can change depending on the season, special events or operating days, so it is better to check the current timing before your visit.
If you see Kiss of the Sea for the first time, I would not leave immediately after the main part. The fireworks are an important part of the whole experience.
Is Kiss of the Sea Phu Quoc Worth Visiting?
Kiss of the Sea works best as a ready-made evening plan in southern Phu Quoc.
It can be worth visiting because:
- it is one of the most visual evening attractions in Phu Quoc
- it is easy to combine with Sunset Town and Kiss Bridge
- the final fireworks feel like a separate event
- the format works for adults, families and children
- the show looks good in photos and videos
- there are cafes, restaurants, the waterfront and Vui-Fest Bazaar nearby
- you can turn the visit into a full evening instead of only watching one show
What I liked most is that the show changes the feeling of Sunset Town. During the day, the area is mostly architecture, sea views and photo spots. In the evening, it becomes a complete route with lights, food, music, crowds and a large performance.

Who will enjoy Kiss of the Sea?
Kiss of the Sea is a good choice if you:
- are visiting Phu Quoc for the first time
- want a bright evening plan without complicated logistics
- stay in Sunset Town, Khem Beach or southern Phu Quoc
- like large shows with fire, water, lasers and fireworks
- travel with family or children
- want to combine Kiss Bridge, dinner and an evening performance
- enjoy places that are visually strong for photos and videos
It is also useful if you do not want to spend the evening moving between different parts of the island. In Sunset Town, many things are close to each other, so the plan feels easy.
Who might want to skip it?
Kiss of the Sea may not be the right choice if you dislike staged tourist shows, large venues or bright special effects.
This is not a quiet cultural performance and not a traditional Vietnamese show in a small local setting. It is a modern multimedia attraction created for a large resort area.
If you want silence, local daily life and a more understated evening, you may prefer a walk by the sea, a small cafe, a night market or a quieter part of Phu Quoc.
But if your goal is spectacle, lights, fire, water and fireworks, Kiss of the Sea does that job well.
Kiss of the Sea Phu Quoc Tickets, Schedule and Price
Kiss of the Sea takes place in the evening in Sunset Town, close to Kiss Bridge and the waterfront.
When I visited, the show started in the evening, around 9:00 pm, and the fireworks happened closer to the end. There is usually at least one non-operating day, but the schedule can change by season, holidays or special events.
The ticket price was around 25-30 USD at the time of my visit. Check the current price before booking, because show schedules and ticket conditions in Phu Quoc can change.

If you already plan to visit Sunset Town, Kiss Bridge, Hon Thom cable car or Khem Beach, it makes sense to add Kiss of the Sea to the same day or evening.

Where is the best place to watch the show?
If you want comfortable seats or a better viewing position, arrive early. The closer it gets to the start time, the more likely it is that the better places will already be taken.
My simple advice:
- arrive early if you want a more comfortable experience
- choose a slightly higher position if you care more about the overall view and fireworks
- do not arrive at the last minute if you are with children
- think about your photo and video angle before the show starts
- avoid blocking other people if you plan to film
For this kind of show, the place matters, but your timing matters too. When you arrive earlier, you can look around, find your spot, buy a drink and start the evening without stress.

Is Kiss of the Sea worth visiting?
Yes, Kiss of the Sea is worth visiting if you are already planning to go to southern Phu Quoc and want a bright evening experience.
I would not call it the only reason to travel to Phu Quoc. The island has beaches, islands, cable cars, night markets, cafes and different areas to explore. But if you already plan to visit Sunset Town, Kiss Bridge, Hon Thom or Khem Beach, Kiss of the Sea fits very well into the route.
The strength of the show is that it turns the evening into a clear story: sea, lights, water, fire, music, fireworks and a walk through a beautiful area after the performance.
For me, it became one of the places that helped explain what Phu Quoc is trying to become: not only beaches and resorts, but also a large holiday destination with evening entertainment, architecture, shows and full tourist routes.
